To get an entry visa to India, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your trip ends, and have two blank pages.
- Application form: Complete and sign the application form, including the date and location of your travel, and flight details. Errors on the application form cannot be corrected, and the application will be rejected if there are any errors.
- Photographs: You need four photographs that are 5 x 5 cm. Paste one photograph on the application form, and include the other three in an envelope with the application.
- Proof of address: Provide proof of address that matches the address on your application. This can be a driving license, state-issued ID, utility bill, valid lease agreement, or an income tax return.
You can apply for an entry visa if you are the spouse or child of an Indian, or if you are traveling to India for a specific event.
Business visa holders must register with the FRRO/FRO if they plan to stay in India for more than six months in a calendar year.
